Mina Rose is a remarkable young artist who has faced numerous challenges in her short life but has refused to let them hold her back. At just six years old, Mina lives with Crouzon Syndrome, a craniofacial genetic condition that affects the bones in her skull and midface. This condition has required Mina to undergo close to 30 surgeries in order to address various health issues and improve her quality of life. These procedures have included neurosurgery to address issues with the bones in her skull and the pressure inside her head, as well as ENT procedures to help her breathe and gastrointestinal surgery to ensure she grows strong. Despite all of these challenges, Mina is a determined and outgoing child with a bright and cheerful disposition. She loves animals, nature, and spending time at the beach, and is particularly passionate about painting. Mina has a studio in her kitchen where she creates her artwork, and she hopes that her art brings happiness and smiles to those who see it.
In addition to her creative pursuits, Mina is also dedicated to giving back to others. She has a store called Mina’s World & Facebook Page, where she sells her art prints, and a portion of her sales will be donated to the Feel Better Friends Project. This organization has been creating handmade dolls stuffed with love and well wishes for children battling cancer and other illnesses for the past five years, and Mina has a special connection to them. The organization has created a doll in Mina’s likeness with her unique neck and nose, and Mina cherishes this doll as one of her favorites. Mina hopes that her art and her story will raise awareness and inspire others to make a positive difference in the world.
