The owner of this KFC decided to place a self-printed sign on the front entrance, which raised a few eyebrows.

Law enforcement officials have faced difficult circumstances in recent years, and the situation is only becoming more complex. There have been several instances of officers being singled out and assaulted. Some individuals presume that all police officers are evil policemen or corrupt in some manner.

One restaurant in Gallipolis, Ohio, determined they would make a difference. They did it by demonstrating to the men and women in uniform that they were respected and appreciated. The placard on the window is making quite a commotion right now!!

The billboard states unequivocally:

To unequivocally demonstrate to all men and women in uniform that they have the city’s undivided gratitude for the job they do each and every day. Each and every time, they put their own lives on the line to keep us all safe.

There’s no better way to fuel yourself before, through, or after a long day, and it may even help to make the streets even safer, which is fantastic to think about!

Almost immediately after the sign was pinned to the KFC window, things started to go wild. It quickly became fully viral, garnering more than 5,000 shares and 10,000 likes on Facebook alone!

The store’s staff have even joined in the conversation and commented on the Facebook page. Stating that they certainly do serve all uniformed police officers for free, all day, every day of the year!

Although you may anticipate most people, mainly police officers, to be supportive and really enthusiastic about it. There are a significant number of individuals who are not delighted at all!

Some people were dissatisfied with what the store owners had done. And stated that they believed all first response services should be included, not just the police. Even the Ohio Going Blue program administrator, an officer of the law, stated that he couldn’t agree with them more.

He said, “I’m not going to lie, I’m not going to lie.”

“While this is a good message, some of you are unable to see the broader picture. “

As a police officer, I never walk into a business expecting wishing for anything to be free. Even a discount, whether I’m in uniform or not, and I can assure you that other cops feel the same way as well. ‘Special treatment’ is something we despise. The reality is that KFC is honoring law enforcement, so this message was displayed on their website. There have been those who have said that additional first responders ought to be kept. What is my response? ABSOLUTELY.”

Each day, our brave law enforcement officers put their lives in danger to keep us safe. They get no compensation for their efforts, so providing them with a complimentary lunch to keep them fuelled for their long days is only fair.
