A 15-year-old mother places her baby for adoption, and 35 years later, he claims he’s right behind her

As a teenager, Stacey Faix fell pregnant with her first child. A 15-year-old mother who was still a kid herself gave birth to a boy and chose to put him up for adoption.

He was taken away from her after she gave birth, and she assumed he would never be seen again.

Adoptees in Pennsylvania now have access to their original birth certificate according to new legislation enacted in November 2017. Stephen Strawn, an adopted child, was pleased to hear this.

When Strawn learnt about the new legislation, he realized he had to get Strawn’s data. He obtained his birth certificate in his hands within a month, and it included information that had previously been lost.

As soon as he found out the identity of his real mother, “I breathed a sigh of relief,” he told Inside Edition.

Stacey Faix came up in Strawn’s search on Facebook. Her or someone he believed to be her was found.

In a reply, “I said, ‘Hey, I have a question,’” she replied. Strawn has something to say about it. It was in 1982 that I asked her, ‘Did you give up a newborn boy for adoption?’” ‘Yes,’ she said. “I believe you’re my biological mother,” I confessed.

Even though they hadn’t seen or talked to each other in 35 years, it came out that Faix, who had tried but failed to locate her son, and Strawn had a lot in common.

Strawn, who resided in Pennsylvania, was also a Team Red, White and Blue (RWB) member, and she intended to run the Pittsburgh Half Marathon as a member of RWB. There was also a race scheduled for Strawn at the same time.

Strawn designed a strategy that was well worth the wait on race day.

Someone gave Faix a card as Team RWB met before the race. “It’s been 13,075 days since you last saw me,” the card said. I didn’t want you to have to wait another day.”

Her mouth fell.

Strawn estimated that the two of them embraced at least ten times. “After we’ve finished embracing, we take a few moments to stare at each other before we do it all again. Everything occurred so quickly that it seemed almost strange that it was really occurring.

It’s safe to assume that the mother and son ran the marathon together, making up for the lost time.

Because of her decision to have a child, this young mother handed her kid away to a loving family who chose to adopt and share their love with their new son. If you’re happy that these two were able to reconnect, please share this story with your friends
