“I’ve always wanted a daughter” – Firefighter adopts baby girl he helped deliver on call outMarc and Beth Hadden were content with their lives with the birth of their two boys

Despite the fact that few knew it, they hoped to add another. Doctors had warned them they wouldn’t be able to have a third kid.

They knew that adoption was the best choice, but they opted not to push it too hard. “We told ourselves, ‘If it’s meant to be, it will be,’” Beth recalled.

Years passed without the couple adopting. Marc and Beth began to question if they would be able to continue to grow their family…

Marc was a fireman and part-time police officer for the city of Myrtle Beach, in addition to being a loving husband and father.

Marc and his coworkers were on duty one night when they got what they assumed was a normal call.

A woman was expecting her first child and was due to give delivery shortly. There was no time to get her to the hospital, though.

Marc could not have predicted the events of that night, but they concluded with him giving birth to the woman’s kid directly in her home.

Marc and Beth returned to the adoption office two days later and inquired if they could care for the little girl.

Grace was returned to her loving family when the paperwork was completed.

All of this happened in 2012. Grace now has two protective older brothers and a loving mother and father who lavish her with attention after seven years.

I was overjoyed to read this small sunny story, especially because the world might feel a little too cold at times.
